As long as the United States continues to exsist, the day of Pearl Harbor will continue to be written down in history books. Jerry, we know about humanity's history comprehensively since before the fall of Rome.

The attack on Pearl Harbor drew the United States into a war on Japan, which was further compounded with Germany and Italy declaring war on the United States, who were previously sending weapons to Britain and France for aid. WWII is an important chapter in modern history. At least 3/4 of the countries that existed back then were drawn into the conflict, and WWII is almost indirectly the cause of the current conflict in the Middle East.
I made this thread out of respect for our country, and respect for the soldiers who gave life and limb to protect our country's freedom.
